transactionlogoThe TransAction 2030 Regional Transportation Plan identified critical transportation projects over the following 25 years requiring funding beyond the $12 billion estimated as needed in the region’s CLRP, which included all the transportation projects in the Washington metropolitan area expected to be funded in the next 25 years.

The Plan was approved by the Authority in November 2006 following review and approval by the nine local government members of the Authority.

TransAction 2030 resulted in a project list totaling more than $15 billion in capital costs and $1.2 billion in operations and preservation over the next 25 years. The projects evaluated were deemed essential to decreasing travel times and reducing crowded conditions for both highway travel and the region’s transit systems.
