Every two years, NVTA adopts a new Six Year Program, a funding program allocating NVTA’s Regional Revenues toward Regional Transportation Projects.

Recently Adopted: FY2026-2031 Six Year Program
On July 9, NVTA adopted the FY2026-2031 SYP, committing $776 million toward 21 multimodal transportation projects across Northern Virginia.
This significant investment will enhance all modes of transportation, including transit, roadway enhancements, technology, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, and intersection/interchange improvements.
Together, these projects will reduce congestion, improve mobility, and enhance quality of life for residents, workers and visitors throughout the region.
